Paul Kairis is a well known drummer, percussionist, and instructor in and around the Chicagoland area. He holds a Bachelor of Music Percussion Performance Degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. As an artist/percussionist Paul is an accomplished musician on drumset, Latin percussion, marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, and timpani. He has been performing, recording, and teaching in Chicago since 1984 and is currently residing in Crest Hill, Illinois.
Paul is available to record drums and/or percussion in the studio, or on tracks sent to him on a hard drive. He is also available for live performances and is currently working with several local artists. His material has been featured on several Chicago radio stations (WXRT, Q101, etc), and he has appeared on stage of numerous major Chicago venues.
As an educator, Paul has been teaching private lessons and drumline for 25 years. He has been an I.M.E.A. (Illinois Music Educator’s Association) and I.H.S.A. (Illinois High School Association) percussion, solo and ensemble judge. Now teaching from his home studio, Paul offers the most complete percussion experience for students of all ages and levels. Private lessons allow students to play solo or side-by-side with him. Recording and C.D.’s along with one-on-one custom written material are offered to all.
